19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with long-time trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court from March of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has won 21 victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, including in that event previously this season.
The player's retrieving strategy and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to wonder if his capacity to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to create a third set.
He saved four initial break points in a close third set before the Russian won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
